We live in a society of images like never before. The question of what is permitted to images and what images are has always played a role in our history. In the different episodes and periods of the disputes over images, the question has been, and still is, to what extent are the images themselves truth and to what extent are they fiction, only pretending, what they express. Considering this situation, it cannot be stated with certainty whether this is a curse or a blessing for society.
