Palau island: White beaches, azure sea and since 2009 exile of six former Guantanamo prisoners from Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Germany with the largest Uyghur community outside of China at present, has rejected their asylum petition. As there was no opportunity to go back to mother country China either, the South Seas have remained the only option.
