In Paradox of Praxis 1 (Sometimes Doing Something Leads to Nothing) Francis Alÿs pushes a large block of ice a whole day long through the streets of Mexico. In the morning the block is big enough to be pushed by bending down, but after a few hours it must be kicked and at seven in the evening there is nothing left to evoke its former existence but a small puddle.
