Verena Kuni

Verena Kuni is scholar in the field of history and theory of art and media cultures and Professor for Visual Culture at Goethe University, Frankfurt Main. Since 1996 she is lecturing, researching and teaching at universities and art academies in Europe and beyond. From 1995 – 1999 she co-curated the video section of Kasseler Dokumentarfilm and Video Festival, where since 1999 she is director of the yearly interfiction summit for art, media, and network cultures. Since 1989 she writes for international publications (print & online), and has published widely on electronic arts.

Alexandra Navratil

Alexandra Navratil, born 1978 in Zurich, Switzerland. Graduated from a BA in Fine Arts at Central St. Martins College in London in 2002 and from a MA in Fine Arts at Goldsmiths College London in 2007. She works predominantly in video and photography and has exhibited her work internationally, especially in Switzerland (Helmhaus Zurich, Piano Nobile Geneva) and in Spain (MUSAC León, Galeria Angels Barcelona). In 2009 she received the Swiss Art Award and the Prix Mobilière Young Art.

Anne Nigten

Anne Nigten is director of The Patchingzone, a praxis laboratory where Master, PhD students and professionals work together on meaningful creative content. Prior to her current position, she was the manager of V2_Lab, the aRt&D department of V2_, Institute for the Unstable Media in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and has been working as an independent media artist. She is lecturing on research and development in the interdisciplinary field from an art perspective and is adviser for several media art and science initiatives in the Netherlands and Europe.

Iris Dressler

Iris Dressler wurde 1966 in Neuss geboren. Studierte Kunstgeschichte, Philosophie und Literatur in Marburg und Bochum. Sie gründete 1996 mit Hans D. Christ den Hartware MedienKunstVerein (HMKV) in Dortmund, dessen Direktorin sie bis 2004 war. Zusätzlich arbeitete sie als Kuratorin für den Medienkunstbereich am Museum am Ostwall, Dortmund von 2002 – 2004 und initiierte 2003 das Forschungsprojekt und eine Konferenz unter dem Titel 404 Object Not Found. Was bleibt von der Medienkunst?. Seit 2005 hat sie mit Hans D.

Ryszard W. Kluszczynski

Ryszard W. Kluszczynski is Professor of Media and Cultural Studies at Lodz University, Chair of Department of Media and Audiovisual Culture, as well as Professor of Media Art and Theory at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, Poland. From 1990 – 2001 he was chief curator of film, video and multimedia arts in the Centre for Contemporary Art – Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw and curated numerous international art exhibitions.

Pieternel Vermoortel

Pieternel Vermoortel, born 1981 in Roeselare, Belgium lives and works in London, UK. From 2005 – 2006 she studied Curating at Goldsmiths College London, prior to this Art History at the University of Ghent, Belgium. She holds an MA in Art History, her dissertation titled Art – Live – Public Space: An Investigation into the Politics of Extramuros Exhibitions. She was co-curator of several international exhibitions, e.g. curator in residence at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Torino, Italy in 2009.

Yasmeen Baig-Clifford

Yasmeen Baig-Clifford has worked within the media arts field for 14 years. She graduated in Fine Art in 1991 and holds an MA in Visual Theories. She has been director of VIVID since 1999 and in 2001, created VIVID’s inaugural artistic programme, hothaus to investigate and support critical and practical dialogues between art, technology and aesthetics. hothaus produced 22 projects over three years, and was selected by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport to represent innovation in the creative industries in 2003.

Mariette Dölle

Mariette Dölle is programme director of TENT., Rotterdam since mid 2006. TENT. is a strong supporter and promotor of Rotterdam based arts. In its programme of exhibitions and events, TENT. examines the relationship between local art, the city of Rotterdam, and the wider world, and particularly, the motivations of the artists in this regard. Artists Wendelien van Oldenborgh, Libia Perez & Olafur Olofsson and Katarina Zdjelar were invited for soloprojects in the past years.
